PRE-SCHOOL DANCE (2-3 YRS)

The Melody Movement syllabus has been specially developed by Jill Bridger. It is designed to promote young children’s physical fitness, coordination and early learning skills.

Melody Movement introduces children to dance and movement using the natural actions of the body .  The syllabus aids children’s physical development, coordination, spatial awareness, sensory development, creativity and self-expression, working individually, with a partner, or as a group.

Fundamental curriculum is introduced, learning skills such as counting, colour and shape recognition, vocabulary and language skills.  Learning is achieved through imaginative movement which is enjoyable and fun.

Jill says, “Melody Movement instils a love of dance making it a positive element of their early lives which stays with them. They learn from a young age how music, movement, dance and the imagination can be combined to tell a story and convey emotions.”

Milligan Bear , who joins in the class, is Melody Bear’s best friend. He has his own songs, music, stories and dance themes for boys who love to dance.

One Response to CLASS timetable

  1. Shri Shah says:

    Hello

I have a 5 year old daughter who wishes to join the street dance class at St. Mary’s Church on Saturday morning. She likes dancing but never did street dance. Is this class suitable for her?

    Thanks
    Shri Shah
